The Lantana Collection at the India Design Week reinforces the practice of sustainable aesthetics and raises awareness towards the natural world and the complex species and materials which are found in it. Light sculpture installations by Oorja such as The Gaia Pillars of Light, The Seed Pod, Dew Drops on a Spiderweb, Summer Rain and The Lantana Elephants are made from natural, biodegradable and renewable materials such as banana fibre paper and lantana. These pieces mirror the beauty of the natural world and prioritise functionality as well as sustainability. Their designs symbolise the harmonious coexistence of matter and light. The Seed Pod and Dew Drops on a Spiderweb stunningly capture the natural delicacy of their inspirations with the play of light and shadows on banana fibre paper. Dew Drops on a Spiderweb envisions to show the grace of a dew drop on a cobweb as seen on an early morning. The Lantana Elephants installation by The Real Elephant Collective is designed with the intention of raising donations for conservation and teaching people to coexist with animals.

Oorja contends that aestheticism and sustainability can go hand-in-hand.
